There is no limit on the amount, the obligation is to declare rather than to stay below a cap. Declare CAD 10,000 or more on entry to Canada.

Taking cash out

Reporting threshold. Carry what you like, declare above this.

The same threshold applies on the way out. Leaving by air, you must report to the CBSA office inside the airport before clearing security.
