Carrying cash across borders
Two separate rules apply to every cash journey, one where you leave, one where you arrive: and the thresholds are independent. Meeting one does not satisfy the other.
The thing most guides get wrong
The EU's €10,000 rule binds at the Union's external border only. Paris to Berlin needs no declaration; Delhi to Paris does. Guides that state a flat "€10,000 anywhere in Europe" send people to fill in paperwork they do not need, or leave them unprepared when it actually applies.
